About King's
Situated in St Clair, Dunedin, King's High School was founded in 1936 and has recently undergone an extensive re-building programme to be a modern and well-resourced school with 53 teaching spaces and 68 teaching staff.
Extensive grounds provide for the wide co-curricular programme offered and encouraged. The school roll sits at a little over 1000 boys, who study from Years 9 -13, with provision for up to 40 international students.
Specialist classrooms are used for all subjects: science laboratories, computer suites, specialist rooms for Art, Music, Photography, Graphics and Media Studies, and very modern Technology workshops. Food Technology and Catering is taught in the modern kitchen; there are 2 gymnasia, Squash courts and a weights room for Sport and Physical Education and a Performing Arts Centre. King's High School also has a designated Outdoor Education facility close to Dunedin.
