Arrival and Induction

We want all our students on arrival at King's High School to connect with other students, feel comfortable and safe with their new homestay family.   We eagerly meet and welcome all our students on arrival.

Our goal is for all our students to become connected global citizens, ready to live and work in the diverse and connected modern world. Therefore we take pride in showing students around our city and school. Connecting or buddying students up with existing students and generally helping students settle into life in Dunedin and King’s High School.  Our teachers are committed to work alongside each student helping them map out and achieve ‘personal excellence’. 

We provide a comprehensive induction and orientation programme that helps students to orientate themselves in the city of Dunedin, enjoy school life ,have fun and make new friends.  We want all our students to embrace the cultural learning opportunities that are presented in life.
