Golf

Golf is presently played as a sport while also being an activity covered in the Physical Education Programme in the Senior School.

We have a very competitive group of players that have represented Otago at the age group level, compete nationally, and play senior pennant in the Otago Region. Our golf program is growing in strength year on end.

We have access to two excellent golf courses close at hand; Chisholm Park and St. Clair. We have developed strong links with the course Professionals, meaning students are able to get personalised coaching after school during Terms 1 and 4. We encourage students interested in golf to become members of either club.

Competitions

Our students currently play in inter-school fixtures against Shirley Boys', Waitaki Boys' and Southland Boys', where we were unbeaten in 2024.

We also compete annually in the Otago Inter-Collegiate Tournament.

History

Old Boys Ross Murray , Graeme Brown, Kim McDonald, and Brent McEwen all represented NZ at various times with the most recent, Brent McEwen representing NZ from 1999-2003.
